There it is : Volume 4 and the successor to the May 2016, November 2018 and September 2021 post books.  Cover & back are written in cyrillic letters like before. Still the pictures and the maps inside are speaking a language that anyone interested immediately understands without problems. A beautiful illustrated book (like Volume 1+2+3) showing you todays building remains/ruins of german fortified positions, Cemeteries and remaining monuments from WW 1 on Belarus soil. The book is sorted by german divisions (14th Infanterie, 78th Reserve, 35th Reserve, 81st Reserve, Garde Kavallerie, 20th Landwehr, 96th Infanterie, 82nd Reserve, 95th Infanterie, 5th Kavallerie) and showing appropriate bunkers & monuments within their sections. For each bunker a little 3D Model of its original state is shown and for visitors Coordinates are also printed... Some pictures (todays and past) are enhancing it and its completed by pasttime maps showing the sector where the positions can be found on the frontlines.

The book itself is A5 size (perhaps some mm oversize), fully colored print with 120 pages.
Texts are mainly in cyrillic letters. Units are described in "normal" letters. It can be bought in various Belarus Bookshops for around 11$ or can be directly ordered from the Author(s) (Mail me for the ordering email adress).
So far I know there's still no english version plannend yet but Google Lens translator works fine !! ...  For those interested in it i can give you the ISBN number , it's 978-985-458-396-9

At Narotch Battle 1916

I waited for this book and was very curious about it.  At first once again you're looking at those cyrillic letters. But i knew that was coming, as a experienced that with other books from Belarus!  Onve you open it immediately language has no matter anymore (like before). Unfortunately there are a lot of texts inside that book that are unreadable to me. But these pictures (ancient and todays) or Maps are so astonishing and speaking an universal language. You immediately understand that. And its  really really impressive what is coming there from Belarus and more what you can still find there. Remaining ruins, grave and cemetrys. You can feel that it was researched and made with passion !

The book itself is A4+ size fully colored print with 374 pages.  Its a really heavy book !
Texts are only in cyrillic letters (thats the only - within rows of +ses) It can be bought directly from the Author (Mail me for the ordering email adress). So far I know there's no english version plannend and the book itself is limited to only 700 pieces ...  For those interested in it i can give you the ISBN number , it's 978-985-7099-21-4. Speed up guys , this book is awesome !

Looking for more information about this unit ? There's a diary avaibale on this unit written by Oberleutnant Stollberg dating 9th january  until 23rd march 1916. A reprint covering 24 pages covering Verdun action 1916 can be ordered from Mr. X the current owner of this diary (email me for contact adress) . Its translated from wirtten german into modern readable letters so also suitable for anyone out there who is not a pro in reading german Süterlin :-)

I just got this book as a present. Although at first you're looking very strange since the whole book cover & back are written in cyrillic letters. What the hell is that ? But then you start to open it and immediately language has no matter anymore. The pictures and the maps inside are speaking a language that anyone interested immediately understands without problems. A beautiful illustrated book showing you todays building remains/ruins of german fortified positions and remaining monuments from WW 1 on Belarus soil. The book (Volume 1 so far i guess ;-) ) is sorted by german divisions (16th Landwehr , 89th Infanterie , 11th Landwehr , 83rd Infanterie ) and showing appropriate bunkers & monuments within their sections. For each bunker a little 3D Model of its original state is shown and for visitors Coordinates are also printed... Some pictures (todays and past) are enhancing it and its completed by pasttime maps showing the sector where the positions can be found on the frontlines.

The book itself is A5 size (perhaps some mm oversize), fully colored print with 102 pages.
Texts are only in cyrillic letters (thats no problem since the pictures have their own language) It can be bought in various Belarus Bookshops for around 11$ or can be directly ordered from the Author(s) (Mail me for the ordering email adress). Limited Stocks are also available from me! So far I know there's no english version plannend yet but still i am looking forwards for the next volume ...  For those interested in it i can give you the ISBN number , it's 978-985-458-267-2

You can now select between Eike Mohr 1st (1989) and 2nd Edition (2004). Unfortunately the 2nd Edition listing isn't complete yet but every newly realeased book will come with a Eike Mohr 2nd Edition ID number. The older ones will be receiving their ID step by step.

(Lokalising german WW 1 Aerial Photos on maps)

Book by Helmut Jäger

I just bought this book since I am interested in (and working on) the localization of aerial photographys. For the german Air Force of WW1 I just hadn't much clue about how their system exactly worked and what you got to know to easy localize the pictures! I just took the place mentioned on the photo and searched that area within Google Earth/Maps. Helmut Jäger did a wonderful job explaining a different (sometimes similar) but a lot more organized (lets call it) "way" on how to find the spot that was photographed 100 years ago. The book comes with lots of information, facts, pictures & maps and tips to unlock the facts, places and maybe secrets of these aerial photographs.

The book is a soft cover print, almost Din A5 in size and has around 200 pages. Unfortunately the main parts are in german but the essence of it is also well described in an english appendix ! Price 24.95 € ! Its really worth it ! If you are in aerial photographs I just can recommend BUY IT !

As you all can see a new version of my homepage is online ... It's been 10 years now and this meant definitively a workover !

At first i need to apologize ! There's only an english version available now. German & french versions will follow soon !

The Information link on the left side is a "blog" style newsreader. There the new releases and previews will be posted
The 2nd hand bookshop Bücher Antiquariat is now added. There i am selling REAL books that can be purchased for (I hope) fair prices. You can of course make your own offers. Maybe we come along !
Purchases now can be done using a "shopping cart system" there you can add the items you like and sent your inquiry. There will be no automated payment system and please don't pay before you get an order confirmation and a total price from me !
The old style "Gesamtübersicht" list is now cut into several categories that can be seen on the left side (1st step ordered by timelines) Until 1914. After 1914 and of course 1. World War. Within these categories more subcategories will appear... if these new categories make you insecure or appear unclear just click on Complete list and you'll have a complete offer list orderd by order number ( like the old list) BUT i recommend to use those new categories!They help you out a lot to find units you're looking for...

Books sort by Formation => Friedensformationen => By Division => Preußen => 37 ID (there you'll also find the regiments that been within the same Division etc.)
Books sort by book edition => Erinnerungsblätter Preußen (search the list and find it under 1001)
Books sort by unit type => Infanterie Regimenter (search the list and find it under 1001)
Books sort by unit number => 101 - 150 => 147 (search the list and find it under 1001)
Complete List (search the list and find it under 1001)

As you see lots of useful hints on how to find units... just a hint : The (2. Masurisches) IS NOT encoded within the "Books sort by number"

Another hint : for 100 % every book is listed in the Complete list all other categorization is done by me, according to what i know about he book/unit. So not every book is listed in all the according categories mentioned above (but should be in most) If you know more just let me know !
